Our Safety Training Programs
1. Safety and Health Training for Safety and Health Committees
Designed for members of workplace Safety and Health Committees, this training focuses on helping committee members become active safety advocates. Acting as a bridge between management and workers, they foster cooperation to enhance workplace safety.
- Legal Basis: Rule 12 (1) & (2) of the Factories and Other Places of Work (Safety and Health Committees) Rules, Legal Notice No. 31 of 2004
- Duration: 30 contact hours
2. Fire Safety Training for Workplace Fire Teams
This course equips participants — whether Fire Wardens or Fire Marshals — with a thorough understanding of their roles and responsibilities during a fire emergency.
- Legal Basis: Factories and Other Places of Work (Fire Risk Reduction) Rules, Legal Notice No. 59 of 2007
- Duration: 15 contact hours
3. Fire Marshal Training for Educational Institutions
Tailored for staff in schools and educational institutions, this course emphasizes fire prevention, emergency response, and safeguarding learners and staff. With schools vulnerable to arson and fire outbreaks, this training ensures staff can respond effectively.
- Duration: 15 contact hours
4. Basic Fire Awareness Training for All Workers
This program enhances employees’ understanding of fire hazards in the workplace. Participants learn how to identify fire risks, respond to alarms, and safely use firefighting equipment.
- Duration: 15 contact hours
5. Construction Supervisor Safety and Health Training
Supervisors act as employer representatives on construction sites. This training covers project planning, task assignments, and ensuring worker safety, reducing accidents and property damage.
- Duration: Minimum 30 contact hours
6. Working Safely at Heights & Emergency Rescue Training
A two-day course that provides essential knowledge on the dangers of working at heights and the safe systems of work required. It also covers emergency rescue planning and execution.
- Student-to-Instructor Ratio: 10:1
- Duration: 16 contact hours
7. Safe Use and Handling of Hazardous Substances Training
This course trains workers on the safe handling and use of chemicals, ensuring they follow proper procedures to prevent accidents.
- Legal Basis: Rule 15 (2) of the Factories and Other Places of Work (Hazardous Substances) Rules, Legal Notice No. 60 of 2007
- Duration: Minimum 8 contact hours
8. Electrical Safety Training
Aimed at electricians, technicians, and maintenance personnel, this course teaches safe practices for working with electrical equipment and meets NFPA 70E – Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace and Section 99 (1) of OSHA, 2007.
- Duration: 1 day
9. Warehousing and Materials Handling Training
This one-day course equips participants with the knowledge of safe warehouse operations and materials handling standards, procedures, and practices.
